In need of cleaning out your medicine cabinet?

Prescription med drop-off

If you have some old prescription medications lying around the house, and unsure of what to do with them? Expired medications are dangerous for human consumption, and also dangerous for placing them in the trash, so this Saturday, September 26th, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration is providing individuals with the opportunity to drop off expired or un-needed prescription medications anonymously from 10a.m.-2p.m. at several locations. They cannot accept any liquid medications, needles or sharps. They can only accept pills or patches. Medications that are expired or un-needed that stay within the home are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse and abuse. Please consider dropping your old prescription medications off at one of the following locations this Saturday, September 26th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.:

Boulder County Sheriff (5600 Flatiron Pkwy, Boulder, CO), Erie Police Department (1000 Telleen Ave, Erie, CO), Lafayette/Erie Police Department (745 N. U.S. Hwy 287, Lafayette, CO), Longmont Police Department (1950 Mountain View, Longmont, CO), or Nederland Police Department (20 Lakeview Dr. #104, Nederland, CO).
